Cocktail decorations

Try these clever ideas for decorating different cocktails.

1 FOR CREAMY COCKTAILS

Drizzle bought flavoured syrup, such as chocolate or caramel topping, around the inside of a serving glass. Pour in the cocktail mixture. Place a chocolate wafer or Cadbury Flake in the glass as a swizzle stick.

2 SUGAR RIM TWIST

Make a coloured sugar rim to match the colour of your cocktail using jelly crystals. Pour jelly crystals onto a plate, then wet the edge of the glass with water or rub with a lemon wedge.
Dip the rim into the crystals to coat. Pour in the cocktail mixture to serve.


3 FOR SOUR COCKTAILS
Try a salt rim for sour cocktails, such as margaritas. Rub the rim of the serving glass with a lime wedge, then dip into a small plate of salt to coat. Pour in the cocktail mixture. Cut a slit in a piece of fresh fruit, such as pineapple or lime. Arrange on the edge of the glass to serve.
