Filling and folding dumplings is a delicate art. Follow one of our two ways, for perfect results.
Square pouch
Step 1: Place square wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon 2 teaspoons filling onto centre.
Step 2: Fold up sides to form a pyramid-shaped pouch. Pinch edges together to enclose.
Half-moon with pleated edge
Step 1: Place round gow gee wrapper on a flat surface. Spoon 2 teaspoons filling onto one half.
Step 2: Fold wrapper over to enclose filling. Hold in both hands (see picture). Starting at one end, pleat edges by making small overlapping folds, pressing to seal as you go.
